Mission
The Helping Paws Foundation helps keep military families united with their pets. All too often, troops who are willing to pay the ultimate price can’t afford to pay unexpected veterinary bills. We give back by providing low and no-cost veterinary care for service members and veterans in need. Without our 501(c)(3), a lot of veterans would face the heartbreaking decision of premature relinquishment, or worse yet, economic euthanasia.

Jeankins went to visit the Mohnacky Animal Hospital to receive her rabies shot along with getting spayed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I appreciate the hospital having a cat friendly entrance. My cat is also somewhat standoffish when meeting new people but was very relaxed with everyone she came in contact with. I will be sharing the Helping Paws Program as well, especially since I live in a military community.

As a military family, we are so thankful for everything they did. We applied for helping paws program and within a week, they contacted us and scheduled appointment for my dog.

My kitten Hazel apparently ate a piece of boot laces from my husbands combat boot. Hazel needed surgery and it was going to cost more than we could afford. No way on short notice could we pull this money out of no where. We're a military family, just making ends meet. Then the blessing- the doctor donated a portion of the life-saving surgery to Hazel from the Helping Paws fund. Thank you to the amazing staff at Mohnacky, god bless you all.

I brought my dog Bella to Mohnacky in Vista to get spayed through their program they offer to military families. They took amazing care of our dog and even sent us a picture before she went in for surgery.

My wife and I needed to have our young dog spayed, though the prices we were quoted were pretty shocking in my area. What a wonderful relief it was to find Mohnacky Animal Hospital near our home in Escondido who offered the surgery as a free service for military members through the support of Helping PAWS Military Appreciation Program!
